ABSTRACT
The principal aim of this research is to ascertain the influence of the home environment on academic performance among secondary school students. To determine this, four research questions where formulated which comprises the questionnaire that was used to solicit factual information from students in Egor local Government area in Edo State through proportionate stratified random sampling techniques. The sample used consisted of hundred students. The data was analyzed by the use of percentages, the factor investigated includes performance of secondary school student in relation to parental socio economic status, parent’s involvement with school works and other variables in the home environment that may influence student performance.
